Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index Predicts Outcomes in Platinum-Resistant Relapsed Ovarian Cancer

چکیده
Abstract We explored the prognostic impact of simple indices that reflect immunological milieu (neutrophils to lymphocyte ratio [NLR] and systemic immune-inflammation [SII]) in 49 platinum-resistant relapsed ovarian cancer patients. The median progression-free survival (PFS) overall (OS) were 4 8 months, respectively. Patients with a lower NLR (?2.89) had better PFS (5 vs. 2 months [p = 0.02]) OS (9 5 0.20]). Factors associated worse > 2.8 (hazard [HR] =2.32, p 0.02) SII 639 (HR =3.70, 0.002). independently predicted =4.13, 0.03). Future studies should study validity inflammatory markers could consider incorporating it as biomarker clinical trials.

Systemic immune-inflammation index for predicting prognosis of colorectal cancer
AIM To investigate the clinical significance of preoperative systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS A retrospective analysis of 1383 cases with CRC was performed following radical surgery. SII was calculated with the formula SII = (P × N)/L, where P, N, and L refer to peripheral platelet, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts, respectively. The ...
متن کاملSystemic Immune-Inflammation Index Predicts the Clinical Outcome in Patients with mCRPC Treated with Abiraterone
Background: A systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) based on neutrophil (N), lymphocyte (L), and platelet (P) counts has shown a prognostic impact in several solid tumors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the prognostic role of SII in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients treated with abiraterone post docetaxel. Patients and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed...
متن کاملSystemic immune-inflammation index predicts the clinical outcome in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer treated with sunitinib
BACKGROUND In this retrospective analysis, we explored the prognostic and predictive value of the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), based on lymphocyte, neutrophil, and platelet counts, at baseline and changes at week 6 during first-line sunitinib in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer (RCC). RESULTS Patients were stratified into high SII (≥ 730) and low SII (< 730) groups. SII...
متن کاملSystemic immune-inflammation index predicts prognosis of patients after curative resection for hepatocellular carcinoma.
PURPOSE We developed a novel systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) based on lymphocyte, neutrophil, and platelet counts and explored its prognostic value in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN The SII was developed based on a retrospective study of 133 patients with HCC undergoing resection between 2005 and 2006, and validated in a prospective study of 123 patients enrolled...
متن کاملDecitabine reactivated pathways in platinum resistant ovarian cancer
Combination therapy with decitabine, a DNMTi and carboplatin resensitized chemoresistant ovarian cancer (OC) to platinum inducing promising clinical activity. We investigated gene-expression profiles in tumor biopsies to identify decitabine-reactivated pathways associated with clinical response. Gene-expression profiling was performed using RNA from paired tumor biopsies before and 8 days after...
